ADDRESS TO THE PEOPLE OF GEORGIA

NEW CONSERVATIVE PARTY OF GEORGIA

We, the citizens of Georgia, who share the universally recognized principles of democracy and freedom and take close to our hearts the difficult problems our country has to face, with a common purpose to tackle these problems, herewith establish a political union – New Conservative Party of Georgia (NCP).

NCP happens to take its origins at the beginning of the new millennium. The main cause for its creation is that even after a decade from re-gaining independence, Georgia, unfortunately, has not achieved the long-desired status of a full-fledged state. This in itself has impeded the formation of a social class relevant to the new realities, the class that should secure the genuine independence of our country.

The authorities oppose business. They brazenly tell people that businessmen are public enemies. They do not wish to recognize the conventional wisdom that it is the multitude of economically and financially strong citizens that can defeat the reigning lawlessness, corruption and fraud.

We declare that, a state based on pseudo-democratic values and neglect for all that is national will never achieve anything.

We, the New Conservatives along with each Georgian citizen have the power to create a new Georgian state where:

• the first and foremost objective of the authorities will be the development of the financial strength of its citizens;
• the authorities will become honest servants to the citizens and the businessmen will be guarantors of the country’s financial independence as well as employment and strong state budget;
• the traditional values of the country enriched with the universal human values will be the framework upon which a new civil society will be built.

For us, the New Conservatives, the private property of each individual is supreme and inviolable.

We are fighting for the creation of small, medium and large business undertakings, for the establishment of a competitive business environment and respect for principles shared in a market-based economy.

Our belief is that a strong and state-hands free entrepreneurship is the basis for a strong state. The answer to the solution of the present crisis is in the economic policy oriented towards liberalization and stimulation of business.

The solution of the difficult problems existing in the social sector can only be achieved through the viable business sector and free entrepreneurship.

We, the New Conservatives, will work with every citizen of Georgia to encourage the creation of a strong national budget.

We are the only ones who know exactly how to solve the budgetary crisis, which can seriously undermine the very independence of the country.

Provided it pursues the right economic policy and has the financially strong environment, Georgia has the potential to provide security to every individual, every family, as well as to provide work opportunities and free access to education and healthcare, to ensure the country’s territorial integrity and protection of its borders.

Our goal is to carry out real reforms in every domain of the country’s life.

Together, we will build a new Georgian state whose economic strength will be the guarantor of the integrity of the country. We will build a state that will always stand on the guard of the spiritual peace and dignity of every Georgian citizen and family and thus of the whole country.

Together with you, we will build the kind of state where every individual will be able to become rich thanks to his or her profession and professionalism.

We have the experience, professionalism and the political will to turn our principles and priorities into reality.

We, the New Conservatives, believe that none of the goals mentioned above will ever materialize unless we adopt the kind of electoral code that provides for the most important right of a citizen – the universal suffrage.

We, the New Conservatives, support the universal suffrage on every level.

Along with every citizen and every family, we will fight for the better future of our country. Believe us, this can be achieved only by standing together as one. Remember, it takes each and every one of us to build a better future for our children and the generations to come.
