On January 20th the New Rights leader David Gamkrelidze held a press conference on behalf of the "New Rights-Republicans Political Alliance" to protest against agreement signed on December 28, 2008 in secret circumstances, according which Enguri Power Plant, the largest hydro power plant in the region, will be jointly managed with Russian state controlled electricity trader, Inter RAO.
